No Change from Bush to Obama

Published by larryamon under Uncategorized Edit This

So where is this change we hear about with Obama? A lot of those on the far left are worried about Obama not being as liberal as he promised. But when I speak of the lack of change, I am also talking about Bush’s liberalisms not just about Obama not having any new ideas.

Bush while being somewhat of an ally of Israel denied Israel the ability to stop Iran. And now the Bush team only abstained from the vote at the UN against Israels operation in Gaza. Bush denies that they were initally going to vote for it but it seems that Condi Rice was the one that iniated the resolution. Obama will likely support Israel a little but will also probably handcuff them from doing some of the things they need to do.

Obama said he would bring the troops home from Iraq but now that there is basically a specific date for our complete pullout in three years Obama couldn’t do it much faster if he wanted to.

Obama planned to close the Guantanamo prison for terrorists but now that maybe it’s more obvios that there isn’t any better place to send them that he might not be able to do that right away.

Bush and Obama both worked and are working on bailing out everything. And now Obama may realize that some of his other promises might not be feasible either.

Bush at the end however seems to be showing that he clearly has no idea how a free market economy works and that he is not conservative at all on a fiscal level. Conservatives knew this for quite a while but Bush isn’t hiding it anymore.

Confuesd by what is evil

Published by larryamon under Uncategorized Edit This

There seem to be three kinds of evil in this world. Make no mkistake evils is evil and nothing will make evil less evil. But in General the worls is blind to evil in all it’s forms. The world does see some evil but it frequently sees something that is not evil as evil because it simplifies the complex and complicates the simple.

The first type of evil I see is the blatent evil that most people recognize at least looking back. The first name that comes to mind is Hitler. Most people point to Hitler as pure evil, but Hitler wasn’t seen as evil by everyone including some of his enemies, when he was alive. Neville Chamberlin obviosly didn’t understand that Hitler was evil.

The second kind of evil, is the evil that we all do. We have all at one point sinned and been rebelios to God’s laws. We are all sinners and even thou most people don’t accept or understand this it’s true. Unless you’re perfect at some point you have sinned and done what is wrong and basically it is evil.

The third kind of evil is the kind of evil I want to talk about here. It’s similar to the first kind but it’s not always recognized not even after the fact. This kind of evil is the kind that blindsides men.  An example of this kind of evil is Barrack Obama. He’s a man and a sinner like all of us so he’s inperfect and I’m not trying to put myself above anyone by putting him down. However,  the kind of evil he perpitrates is for selfish reasons. Obama has consistently been the most pro abortion senator in the senate. It’s beyond ignorance on his part he did whatever he could to keep abortion going in every possible circumstance.

Finally the world sees Israel defending itself against constant rocket attacks by terrorists as evil because they don’t want to proprtionately fire rocket for rocket aimlessly into Gaza but want to putan end to the attacks.

Joe the plumber is back

Published by larryamon under Uncategorized Edit This

The  regular media are all upset because Joe the plumber got a reporting gig with Pajams media TV. There upset they say because Joe Has no journalistic credentials. They’re really upset because this sis someone who pointed out Obama’s flaws and he’s still around. They may be a little bit upset  that he’s not a regular reporter but even that doesn’t matter. The only thing you usually get with journalistic credentials is a bias and the ability to semi hide it. PJTV hired Joe precisely because they wanted an everyday man’s perspective on an issue. Even if Joe does an awful job that’s really only for the people at PJTV to worry about. So they’re more likely worried that he’ll do really well. Besides shouldn’t they be really worried that Al Franken has no political expereince to be in the senate?

Talking to dictators

Published by larryamon under Uncategorized Edit This

So now Hugo Chavez may be saying that he’s ready to talk to America through Obama’s invitation to talk to dictators and such. Hugo said that George Bush’s way of rating countries as friends and enemies was overly simplistic. While there may be some truth to the statement that not all countries need to be friends or enemies they can just be neutral. However I think in saying this Hugo Chavez means he would like to use us or any non friend country for what he can use us for but not be looked down upon when he directly supports our enemies. Yes there is a time when you identify countries not as friends or neutral, when they try to kill you or your citizens or your friends. As a Christian I realize that no other human is my enemy and this may even include countries and definitely it includes other populations, however in dealing with countries that have set you or your friends as their enemies you can’t just look the other way, you should act prudently.

Friends in high places

Published by larryamon under Uncategorized Edit This

It’s funny that liberals are always talking about the rich and how the rich waste money and how the rich are to blame for everything. Yet the liberals are the rich people. Obama is sending his daughters to the Sidwell Fiends school at a cost of almost $60,000 a year. This is the school that Chelsea Clinton went too. The Obama’s are not the only politicians to send their kids off to expensive private schools, nor is it something that just democrats do but if you look at the lifestyles of democrats they do live an elitist lifestyle while preaching about how the rich are the problem and that the rest of us should live simple lifestyles. Just something to think about.

Time to be thankful

Published by larryamon under Uncategorized Edit This

I want to take some time to be thanful for a few things but I want to shed some reality on a few things at the same time.

First, we can be thankful that America is the kind of place that a Black man is just as able to be president as a white men. However, let’s not be naïve and say that racism is gone in America. Racism still exists and there were probaby racists who did and din’t vote for Obama. And while I’m talking about it, racism and hatred aren’t cured by education but by love. You don’t just tell someone they’re a racist and they go “Oh we didn’t know”. Racism comes from bad experiences being blamed on the wrong thing and from hatred being taught. People don’t suddenly wake up from that kind of stuff they have to experience love and it’s really only God’s love that can heal that kind of pain and division.

Second, we can be thankful that not another major terrorist attack has occurred in the United States since 9/11. And for all  the people that think 9/11 was an inside job, do you think London, Madrid and Mumbai were inside jobs too?

Third, we can be thanful that we don’t live in a country where we have to be afraid of dozens of rockets hitting us every day.

Lastly we can be thanful for God’s providence in giving us such a great and free country and that we have the natural protection of two huge oceans on either side of us.

Moving towards socialism

Published by larryamon under Uncategorized Edit This

Can we let anything go, do we have to bail out Wall St, the housing market, the auto industry, the insurance industry, newspapers and now state governments with more tax dollars. Some people say this isn’t socialism but if it isn’t it’s not far off. Some businesses, homeowners and local governments need to cut their budgets or fail. This is how a free market works and it usually works well when it is not inhibited by the government. The only exception is state governments, while it may be that they shouldn’t fail, they should and can trim way back to where their spending is not exceeding their considerable income. For example if the government were to keep giving money to failing toy stores that didn’t sell any toys those toy store owners would basically become federal employees and it would be a government toy store. Eventually the government would increasingly tell the toy store what they can and cannot do, sell or a number of other things. The government run toy store not needing to make a profit may eventually either push other toy stores out of business or cause other stores to give up the hard work of running store in favor of government payments. Not every business would work like this as some people would still work to produce great products and make big profits but the government makes it harder and harder for those folks by proposing tax increases on successful businesses. So you either let the government run your business or they make it harder for you to make a profit. Over time this turns a society into a socialistic venture that fails miserably. A free market system may have it’s flaws and there are those that will get hurt by it but it’s far better than communism or socialism.
