Top Ten Ways Liberals Try to Act Conservative.

Published by larryamon at 9:08 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

I’ll do two every day this week.

Let me point one thing out right away. Although I’m pointing out ten basic things that are lies the people that tell them don’t always believe these are lies because they often are lying to themselves out of ignorance or stubbornness.

Lie

1) I’m against abortion personally but I could never tell anyone else what to do.

Truth

There are several problems with this line. First they don’t have a problem telling others what to do when it comes to other things such as telling them they should pay more taxes. Second, it’s like saying personally I think murder is wrong but I can’t tell someone else that they shouldn’t murder. You absolutely should tell someone else if they are doing something very wrong, you owe it to them. That’s what laws are for, telling society not to do things that are wrong. By having a society we are imposing a select set of rules on the whole population.

Lie

2)  I’m against abortion except in cases of rape or incest or for the health of the mother.

Truth

If murder is murder it doesn’t matter how someone got pregnant. My former pastor who is the pastor of a very large multicultural church, his grandmother was raped and got pregnant with his father. If his father had been killed in the womb he wouldn’t be here. His father was loved no less because of how he was conceived. Rape doesn’t make murder ok and the same goes for incest. As for the health of the mother, a lot of times that comes down to a supposed mental health reason which is bogus. Yes pregnancy is stressful, so is life. Any real health conditions may be difficult but I (like any good parent) would willingly sacrifice some or all of my good health to save my kids. If you see your kid about to get hit by a car would you try to rescue them or say, no I might get hurt.

What are your thoughts on Sarah Palin then? Is she a liberal trying to be a conservative since she claims that she wouldn’t outlaw abortion even though she’s firmly against it?

There are so many things wrong with that, I hardly know where to begin. First, let’s talk about free will, you know, the gift God gave us above all creatures. According to your religion, free will is what separates us as humans, what makes us unique. Free will allows us to make choices, whether good or bad.

Also, according to your religion, judgment of these choices are reserved to God and God alone. While laws are in place, they change with time due to health issues, common sense, or a Power Elite. It used to be an offense punishable by death to eat meat on a Friday.

When religion supersedes the good of or the will of the majority of the populace, tyranny results. Islam is supposedly a religion of peace, but a very literal translation of a few passages in the Koran have forever corrupted any claim to that in the world view. The health and safety of not only the people living under that specific theocracy, but the world at large becomes at risk as a result of those practices.

I accept that you choose to put faith in a supernatural belief system. What I don’t accept is a biased comparison of “truth and lie”. To place partisan concepts in a religious context implies that you haven’t grasped the core concepts of your faith.

Actually, health reasons for the mother don’t just come down to “mental reasons that are bogus.” There is such thing as having a physical condition that would not support carrying a child for the mother or the baby.
It’s fine if you don’t agree with abortion but you shouldn’t throw things around when you obviously have never had the personal experience needed to really pass judgment on someone else’s decision.

If abortion is murder then we should technically be born at conception. So I should have turned twenty-one 9 months before I did, which would have been a good thing for me.

    Buuuuuuuuuut it isn’t.

You become a person when you are born, until then you’re a fetus. Now I’m not saying abortion is ok, far from it, but it is a little bit different from murder. I personally am against abortion, I would never consider it an option in my life…. however I have compassion and realize that in an unwanted pregnancy there aren’t a lot of options, and until we get better birth control methods, abortions are a necessary thing. They will continue to happen, regardless of whether or not they’re legal, so we might as well do it safely for the mother.

Instead of conservatives focusing so much on abortion, I wish they would focus more on mother’s with unwanted pregnancies. What a classy thought right?

Just because your born doesn’t make you suddenly a person. That would mean all of the sudden as soon as a baby passes through the birth canal it suddenly feels pain and has emotions and never before that but at that exact instance it magically has all of the things that make it alive right? That certainly does take a lot of faith to believe something like that. However, based on science and facts we know that before the baby comes through the canal it is alive and has feelings. But how long, one second, two? No, much before that. There is nothing magical about the birth canal or even the new air breathed into the babies lungs, that isn’t what makes it come alive. So when? Maybe at 8 and a half months? No babies have been born premature and lived as early as 22 weeks. Were those babies just tissue that came alive in an incubator somewhere at 8 months? No they were babies and alive. So when? Babies have a heart beat as early as six weeks. Now I could understand if some said life began at six weeks in the womb, there is some logic behind that. However do we really know the exact day the heart begins. That would be hard to tell. As science defines it, it’s a new life at conception because it is a new creature that is not part of the mother, it is independent life even if it does need a host to survive. So saying that you wouldn’t kill a baby but you have compassion on the mother who would have a tough time dealing with a baby so you would let her kill him or her, I wouldn’t call that compassion but enabeling and it certainly isn’t compassionate on the baby who will feel all that pain and die. Really it’s just the same as saying I would never kill a toddler but I feel bad for mothers who are overwhelmed with this unwanted toddler so I think it’s ok if she wants to kill him. There are women who don’t want babies, toddlers or even teenagers. Murder isn’t the answer. There are plenty of people willing to adopt new babies. Yeah the mother would go through some uncomfortablenesses, expenses and other difficulties. But this is far less uncomfortable than death. Lets focus on mothers who don’t want their children, yeah that’s some thought.
